British India Unveil Video For New Single And Announce Tour Dates

British India have announced their long-awaited return to the Australian music scene by unveiling their brand new single Blinded, an accompanying video directed by band guitarist Nic Wilson, and a run of nationwide tour dates that will see them headlining venues across the country, as well as joining Fall Out Boy and Hunters & Collectors for their respective Australian tours.

The new single Blinded is a catchy slice of pop-infused garage punk, bearing British India’s trademark command of melody, Declan Melia‘s emotive vocals and lyrical ability, and the band’s raucous musicianship. The band’s new video for the single takes the viewer back to 1985 — a year from which British India draw a lot of inspiration — taking place at a calamitous prom night. Readers can check out the hilarious new video below.

Blinded is a cut from the band’s fourth studio album Controller, released to rave reviews earlier this year. Debuting in the ARIA Top 10, the album was hailed as a return to form for this Aussie four-piece, who are known for their unrelenting energy and sheer volume on stage. The lead single from the album I Can Make You Love Me has been the band’s biggest to date, with subsequent cuts Summer Forgive Me and Plastic Souvenirs, cementing their triumphant return to the top of their game.

Since first exploding onto the scene back in 2007, British India have built a reputation on delivering top-notch rock & roll shows to their fans. October will see them kicking off their own headline tour at the Hi-Fi in Melbourne, before joining Fall Out Boy on their Australian tour, then back to complete their headline dates throughout November, finishing off by joining Hunters & Collectors on their A Day On The Green tour.
