Music Feeds Podcast Episode #24 – Trivium

With just a matter of days left until the release of Trivium’s sixth full-length album, Vengeance Falls, lead guitarist and all-round sterling chap Corey Beaulieu called into Music Feeds HQ to partake in the latest episode of Music Feeds Podcast.

Since news first broke of the impending album, it’s been hard to not register the weight behind the release. As Corey explained, the band took the opportunity to address the serious issues that are going on in the world right now. Corey delved into the subject matter that was crossing the band members’ minds when they were writing the record, which inevitably bled into each track.

The band teamed up with the iconic David Draiman (Disturbed, Device) to record the album, which follows on from 2011’s In Waves. As it turns out, the partnership was a match made in heaven, with the Trivium boys setting up base camp at Draiman’s own home to begin tracking the record. Corey explained that it was Draiman who approached them for the opportunity, but secretly, they were hoping that he would.

It might be a serious, loaded release, but Trivium were able to keep a healthy sense of humour about the hype surrounding Vengeance Falls. After Draiman leaked the album name, the band started trolling fans with other potential album and track names, all of which would have made more sense had more of their fan base seen Spinal Tap.

Vengeance Falls will be released in Australia Friday, 11th October. Check out the full interview below, which will be available to download soon.
