It’s been a stellar year for Sydney crew Lime Cordiale, who’ve spend much of 2013 releasing addictive singles, performing to sold-out crowds, and releasing their latest EP Falling Up The Stairs. Now the band have announced a run of headlining national tour dates.
Since releasing their breakthrough track Bullshit Aside earlier in the year, it’s been a steady rise for Lime Cordiale. The follow-up, Sleeping At Your Door silenced critics who claimed the band was relying solely on hype.
The band’s quirky lyrics, big choruses and skill in crafting mega pop hooks made the jump from single to EP effortlessly. Falling Up The Stairs dropping early last month to much acclaim from critics and fans alike, each praising the band’s songcraft.
The band teamed up with Sydney producer Daniel Denholm for the release, who’s worked with Washington, The Whitlams, Billy Thorpe and Midnight Oil.
It’s been non-stop action for Lime Cordiale on the live front as well. The past 12 months have seen the band put many supposed ‘road dogs’ to shame. Stand out moments include selling out Sydney’s Standard, and turning heads at the BIGSOUND conference showcase.
The band have also become a hot support act, favourites of names such as Ball Park Music, Hey Geronimo, The Griswolds and UK’s Cosmo Jarvis, who all handpicked Lime Cordiale to open their Aussie shows.
