Eminem Declares Himself A ‘Rap God’ In New Song

The ever-humble Eminem is hot on the comeback trail, today revealing another track from the forthcoming Marshall Mathers LP 2 (or MMLP2 for those who prefer brevity) entitled Rap God, in which the real Slim Shady announces himself as the titular character, declaring “I’m beginning to think I’m a rap god”.

We don’t know about a god, but the 6-minute opus shows that indeed age has not wearied the now 40-year-old Marshall Mathers, who drops an intimidatingly sharp set of rhymes that reference everyone from Monica Lewinsky to Run DMC, without forgetting the usual healthy dose of murderous aggression we’ve come to expect over the last 15 years.

The Marshall Mathers LP 2, studio album number eight for the rapper, is out Tuesday, 5th November, with a star-studded list of collaborators set to guest on the record, including Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and Nate Ruess.

Eminem is set to make an Australian tour announcement this month, with the man himself strongly rumoured to be hitting our shores for a string of headlining shows next February and March.
