Blind Witness Call It Quits

Canadian Metalcore greats Blind Witness have issued a statement via the band’s official Facebook page that they have decided to hang up their leads and embark on other adventures.

The band had a somewhat short career, though their style and technicality stole ears all over the world. The band released a split EP, an all Blind Witness EP in 2008, and their full length Nightmare on Providence Street in 2010. Earlier this year they had confirmed to fans that they were heading into the studio to work on their highly anticipated sophomore full length. While that project is officially dead, the band has promised they will release a 4-track EP very soon.

The break-up comes after members of the band began to focus on other areas of their lives, including work and studying. Rather than continuing to make music part time, they wanted to end on a high.

“No words would actually be strong and true enough to express how grateful we are for all the support of every single one of our fans!”

You can check out the full statement here . This will be another band Aussie fans will miss out on seeing live, as their final show will be taking place in their homeland.
