Arcade Fire Release Teaser Video For New Track ‘Afterlife’

With the release date of Arcade Fire‘s fourth studio effort, Reflektor, looming closer, the band are amping up the epic promo campaign, today unveiling another tasty morsel – a video teaser for the track Afterlife.

The video shows more footage from Haiti. The country is said to have been a huge influence on the album. The Win Butler-led outfit have also released official lyrics to the track, as well as three other songs from Reflektor, on their Facebook pageWe Exist, Here Comes the Night Time and Normal Person (below).

And it looks like fans in Brooklyn and Miami are about to experience some new Arcade Fire live, with gigs booked under the name The Reflektors. The indie heroes played under that name in their home town of Montreal back in September, on the same day as they released the album’s first single, the earworm-laden Reflektor.

Arcade Fire have also been announced to play Neil Young‘s Bridge School Benefit concert on 26th October, with an epic line-up that also features Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young; Tom Waits; Queens of the Stone Age; Jack Johnson and Elvis Costello.

All of this news is getting us mighty hyped up for January, when the band heads our way to headline the 2014 Big Day Out alongside Pearl Jam and Blur. Reflektor is released in Australia 1st November.

Check out the teaser as well as some lyrics from previously unveiled songs below.
