Blink-182 Tease 10th Anniversary Plans For ‘Untitled’

While we can’t be certain exactly what they’re teasing, it’s become pretty damn clear that Blink-182 have been teasing something these past few days, and it’s likely in relation to next month’s impending 10th anniversary of their Untitled album.

Popular opinion seems to be it will be a re-release of the album which contained generation-defining tracks such as Feelin’ This, I Miss You, Down and Always, and its also likely that the trio may head out on a few tour dates in celebration as well.

Of course, any self-respecting Australian Blink 182 fan will be actively campaigning for the former, considering there’s apparently no way the band will be touring here any time in the next century, bar some sort of holographic display. Which would still be kind of cool, really.

There’s always the possibility that the band are planning both, and during a recent interview with AbsolutePunk bassist Mark Hoppus did confirm that the band would be open to the idea of touring in support of the anniversary.

Considering the cryptic nature of clues the band are revealing, it’s too early to tell for certain. A new image with swatches of the colours from the album’s artwork along with three strings of numbers has been revealed, the first of which – 1021 7:30 1067 – looks to be a time and date (10/21 7:30) and a reference to long-time Blink champions radio station KROQ 106.7 (who also happened to tweet the images from their own account as well).

It’s also been pointed out by tech-savvy fans that the next two lines – 101167 34098007 11832421 – are likely a combination of the hex code for blending cyan and magenta, the two colours featured on the album art, plus series of coordinates which lead exactly to the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

Probably a dead giveaway for a show. Maybe they’re giving away millions of copies of the album for free at the Palladium. Let’s wait and see, eh?
