Public To Vote For Electronic Music Producers In Budweiser People’s Choice Award

Now that a panel of industry movers and shakers have had time to process the entries for Australia’s electronic Producer Of The Year award, the power has now been given to the people to choose who will be handed the Budweiser People’s Choice Award 2013 in the same field.

Much like the Producer Of The Year award, which closed Wednesday, 30th September, this is sure to result in a meteoric rise in attention for the person behind the winning track with plenty more benefits to get excited about.

Along with a cheeky $5,000 DJ Warehouse voucher, the winner will receive free studio time, with assistance in cutting and editing with the final product being pressed to vinyl. You can be sure there will be a lot more media attention as the competition pricks up ears throughout the industry.

The floor is now open to submissions from producers of any shape or size, be they bedroom beatmaker or established studio dweller, trip hop to trance creators and everything in between – it all comes down to who’s produced the best tune.

Submissions for the People’s Choice Award can be made at http://www.budweisermadeformusic.com.au and will be open until this Sunday, 27th October, with public voting commencing the following day on Monday, 28th October. The winner will be announced at the Australian Independent Music Awards on Thursday, 7th November alongside the industry-voted Producer Of The Year awards.

Four finalists will be flown to the ceremony at the new Star Event Centre, and there will also be great prizes for those who vote. Voters will go in the running to win the ultimate night out with 3 pals, including accommodation at the 5-star Astral Tower at The Star Casino complex in Sydney, as well as a decent feed at The Star’s top restaurant with VIP access to the AIMAs and access to the after party. Worth it.
