MIA ‘Y.A.L.A.’ Full-Length Track Unveiled

Forget YOLO – British rapper and queen of controversy M.I.A. is telling us the real motto is Y.A.L.A. (You Always Live Again) and she’s certainly coming back to life with the monster track from her upcoming fourth studio album, Matangi.

We had already decided that the third single from the record, which we heard a snippet of last week, was going to be a complete corker and the full-length version doesn’t disappoint. It’s the kind of slow building yet schizophrenic number we’ve come to know and love from the 38-year-old, complete with some spoken word action advising us that YOLO ain’t a thing – where M.I.A. comes from, you keep being born again and again.

After a whole lot of drama and even a few threats from the artist herself to leak the album, Matangi finally has an Australian release date of 4th November, with the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2010’s Maya featuring not one but two guest appearances from Canadian producer The Weeknd.
