The Middle East Announce Tour Dates

The Middle East head out for a quick run of dates before returning to Townsville where they will begin work on their debut full length release.

The band, who re-released ‘The Recordings of The Middle East’ EP earlier this year though Spunk Records, will be self-releasing the same EP in North America at the end of this month. The EP will also be released in Japan, the UK and Europe in early 2010. Los Angeles-based radio station KCRW and Seattle’s KEXP have been playing the The Middle East’s song ‘Blood’, as has well-known London radio station X-FM, and the recently release video for ‘Blood’ has been viewed more than 20,000 times on Myspace. Plus, EP opener ‘The Darkest Side’ was also recently featured on Pitchfork’s Forkcast which previews the best in new music.
