Azealia Banks Blames Pharrell’s “Lite Skin Comeback” For ‘ATM Jam’ Flop

New York City rapper and continual loudmouth Azealia Banks‘ collaboration with Pharrell Williams, ATM Jam, didn’t do so well when it was released earlier this year, and that’s firmly the fault of Williams, according to Banks, who suggested he didn’t help her to promote it.

The 212 rapper took to – you guessed it – Twitter to make the claims, posting, “The reason ‘ATM Jam’ did poorly is because Pharell changed his mind about wanting to be associated with me after he had his lite skin comeback.” She has since deleted the tweet, but left the rest of the rant, continuing on with “Lite skin niggas are funny” and “But fuck it what’s new? Azealia Banks having to scrape claw and fight for what she wants. This is normal for me now.”

We can see her logic. Clearly everything else Williams has collaborated on this year, like Blurred Lines with Robin Thicke or Get Lucky with Daft Punk, has been a spectacular flop. Banks doesn’t seem to agree, though, posting, “The minute I feel like I should give a fuck and stop talking shit the good lord reminds me that no one else gives a fuck and neither should I.” More popcorn, please.

Banks has been running her mouth overtime this week, also making the claim that she’s the female equivalent to Kanye West. She is still yet to release her long awaited debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, which was originally slated for a 2012 release, but is now expected in January 2014.
