Mudhoney Announce Big Day Out 2014 Sideshows

Following the very good news that grunge pioneers Mudhoney will be heading Down Under for the 2014 installment of the Big Day Out, a sneaky leak on the Sub Pop records website has given us the even better news that the Seattle 6-piece are getting their sideshow on while they’re in town.

The Touch Me I’m Sick legends were last in Australia for Splendour In The Grass in 2012, playing only a single Melbourne sideshow. This time it’s a different story, with the outfit set to give us headlining shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne around their festival dates.

It’s their first Big Day Out since 1993, with the outfit still killing it 20 years later, releasing their ninth studio album, Vanishing Point, back in March. These East Coast shows are sure to be one rollicking good time from a band who likes to keep things fresh.

Earlier this year, the guys played a show atop of Seattle’s Space Needle to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their label, Sub Pop. Stay tuned to the Feeds for more info on how to snap up these tickets as soon as it comes to hand.
