Kanye West Slams A Nike Executive In A Partly Auto-Tuned On-Stage Rant

Yeezy is at it again. This time, during a concert in New York’s Madison Square Garden, ranting about Nike’s mistreatment of him. Kanye West, who used to be brand partners with the sportswear company before leaving to sign a contract with rival company Adidas, has gone into a (hilariously) partly auto-tuned rant (video footage below) about one of the company’s executives, saying that “a god should recognise another god”.

“Do you know who the head of Nike is?” West asked his audience as he prowled the stage. “No, well let me tell you who he is: His name is Mark Parker, and he just lost culture. Everyone at Nike, everyone at Nike, Mark Parker just let go of culture.” Even at this stage, you can hear crowd members calling out “nobody cares”, but Kanye continues.

“Did you not want the Yeezys?” he asks. “Nike would make you believe it was my fault that you couldn’t get them, but that was not the case. I wanted there to be as many Yeezys as there was LeBrons, and I wanted them to be at a good price, but that was not my choice, and we’re going to change everything. And … I’m going to create more than you think that any musician in the history of time ever could have.”

Strangely, Kanye goes on to say that he talked to both the head of Louis Vuitton and Disney in the same day, and that he wanted to talk to them about “dreaming”. Towards the end, screaming at his crowd, Kanye yells “I need your support, I need money!… Cause I am Steve Jobs, and I am Walt Disney, and I am Henry Ford, and I am Howard Hughes, and I am David Stern, and I am Michelangelo!”

Make sure you check out the ridiculous footage below, as well as Seth Rogan and James Franco’s recent parody of Kanye’s new music video for Bound 2, before Kanye’s ego gets even bigger.
