The Rolling Stones Australian Tour ’14 On Fire’ Announced

Following the news that they’ll be playing the newly refurbished Adelaide Oval, The Rolling Stones have officially announced their full schedule of Australian tour dates, which will see one of the world’s most legendary rock and roll bands play gigs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Hanging Rock!

Frontier Touring & AEG Live have unveiled a string of one-night-only shows for what’s being called the ’14 On Fire Tour’, which sees icons of rock Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood follow-up their massive US tour by bringing their legendary tunes back to Australia.

“Can’t wait to reconnect with all our friends in Australia & New Zealand. It’s been a while since we’ve played to you all, so we are looking forward to being back on stage & playing your favourite songs,” said frontman Mick Jagger. The Stones’ last visit to Australia was in 2006.

Meanwhile Keith Richards is eager to get back on stage, saying, “We all had such a ball this year and so we wanted to keep it going! The energy between the band is better than ever and we’re all looking forward to coming back Down Under. I can’t wait to get back on the stage with the boys.”

THE ROLLING STONES VS AUSTRALIA: A SHORT HISTORY

Joining the boys for the tour will be Mick Taylor, a member of The Rolling Stones from 1969 to 1974, who will appear as a special guest and help the band bring their seminal discography, which includes hits like Paint It Black, Jumping Jack Flash, and Tumbling Dice, to life.

The much talked-about stage design for the indoor shows is based around the band’s iconic tongue and lips logo, which will extend out into the audience, giving lucky fans in the exclusive General Admission ‘Tongue Pit’ standing area inside the stage an incredible 360-degree concert experience.

Tickets for all of the ’14 On Fire’ shows go on sale to the general public on Monday, 16th December, with a pre-sale via Frontier Touring kicking off Monday, 9th December. These shows are strictly one-night-only and tickets will sell out fast. See below for all dates and ticketing and venue details.

There will also be a limited selection of “lucky dip” seats available for each venue, which will be available at a very special price of $99 via the official Rolling Stones website from 9:00am local time on Monday, 16th December, ensuring a selection of the premium seats go to genuine fans.
