Justin Bieber ‘Just Kidding’ About Retiring From Music

False alarm, false alarm. Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun has told ITN, via The Independent, that the pop star was “just kidding” when he told a Los Angeles radio station that his next album would be his last.

Talking with Power 106FM earlier this week, Bieber said, “The new album… I’m actually retiring. I’m retiring man. I’m just gonna take some time. I think I’m probably going to quit music.” This confused, shocked and angered Beliebers around the world, despite Bieber admitting in the interview (which you can listen to in full below) that he was “just messing around”.

Now that Braun has helped clear the air and settle the overly-worried fans, he’s said that Bieber’s 2014 involves, “Taking a break just to make music and relax, take some time for himself for the first time since he was 12.”

Justin Bieber’s new album, Journals, is set for release on 23rd December. He has recently been releasing a new track each week as part of his “Music Mondays” series.
