TNGHT Hiatus Confirmed

TNGHT, the duo made up of electronic luminaries Hudson Mohawke and Lunice, will be placed on the back-burner by its two members, according to their record label, LuckyMe. The label confirmed to FACT magazine that the project is going on hiatus so both members can focus on solo projects.

The pair have been riding a wave of momentum since the release of TNGHT’s debut EP, which included the singles Goooo and R U Ready, including invitations to collaborate with Kanye West on his latest LP, Yeezus, and signing individual publishing deals with the rapper’s G.O.O.D. Music label.

Rumours of the pair’s hiatus first broke with the release of their latest video, Waning Moon. The duo’s official Facebook page was then updated with a banner featuring the band’s moon logo covered up by clouds attached to a missive that read, simply, “Until Next Time.”

As FACT reports, a link to the video posted by the LuckyMe Twitter account was followed-up by a tweet that read, “Do Not Grieve…” with a link to Optimus Prime’s death scene from Transformers. Questions on the status of the group were replied to with links to the members’ Facebook pages.
