Josh Homme And Jay-Z Make Amends

Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z have reportedly made amends after Homme labelled the rapper a “kook” and expressed dissatisfaction with the overzealous security measures he witnessed at the rapper’s Made In America festival.

“The guy’s a kook, you know. He has security frisking bands on the way in,” Homme told Canada’s CBC Radio 2. “I just told him, ‘If you open up my bag, we’re not playing. So I guess it’s up to you to have to decide whether we’re playing or not. You shouldn’t frisk my guys, you should fuck off.”

Queens of the Stone Age were reportedly “visibly and vocally frustrated” during their set at the Made In America festival, however Homme has revealed to Rolling Stone that the two made amends and “had a conversation,” saying, “I think we saw each other’s point of view pretty clear.”

“In fact, he told me his own family had a problem with security,” added Homme. At the time, Homme also expressed frustration with the salesman tactics of the rapper after he sent QOTSA the “gift” of a bottle of champagne and requested that the band have a photo taken with it. Said Homme: “I was like, ‘That’s not a gift–that’s a marketing tool. I destroyed it, ’cause I thought it was rude overall.”
