Sydney indie quartet The Jezabels are making a much-anticipated return to the scene in 2014, dropping another taster from their upcoming sophomore effort The Brink in the form of new single Look Of Love, a soaring summer anthem.
Singer Hayley Mary explains that the new track is essentially Uptown Girl sung from the perspective of the girl. “Look of Love shares it’s title with a few all too familiar love songs, because it is very much about the popular conception of love, and the damage it can do the real thing.”
Look Of Love was recorded in London with producer Dan Grech-Marguerat and is out independently through MGM Distribution on 20th January. You can catch the band touring as part of Laneway Festival 2014 in January and February.
