The Used Announce New LP ‘Imaginary Enemy’ Will Debut In Australia

In a sign that cements frontman Bert McCracken‘s affinity for Australia, Utah’s favourite sons The Used have announced the band’s sixth studio album, Imaginary Enemy, due out 28th March, will make its debut in Australia before any other territory in the world.

McCracken revealed to Music Feeds at Vans Warped Tour in Sydney last December, that the new record would be out in March, saying the album is “more of a serious, more of a selfless look at the world, at de-humanisation in general.”

“We the people, in order to form a more perfect planet, must question the way the world works – and where the world is heading,” the frontman said today in a statement about the new album. “Some view art as a way of escaping reality; others view art as a mirror reflecting our sometimes sad society; we believe art can be a weapon, used to shape the very world we live in.”

The Used have struck a chord with Australian audiences prompting them to tour the country countless times. Finally in 2013, Bert McCracken made the move to Sydney to reside with his Australian wife. The Used were last in Australia astounding audiences as part of the 2013 Vans Warped Tour.
