Little Birdy in Gaol While Confetti Turns Gold

Having just completed another sold out tour of the country playing to thousands of eager fans LITTLE BIRDY took to the stage in Melbourne last week for a very special one off show at the historic Old Melbourne Gaol.

LITTLE BIRDY’s rockin’ set was enjoyed by a capacity crowd, which we are told included the ghost of Ned Kelly! The show was also filmed so that fans who missed out on a ticket can experience the gig from the comfort of their couch when it is released on DVD later this year. Aptly titled ‘LITTLE BIRDY LIVE FROM OLD MELBOURNE GAOL’ the DVD package will include the full length gaol concert along with the band’s complete videology and is set for an early December release.

In other exciting news LITTLE BIRDY will hit the ALEXANDRA HILLS HOTEL, BRISBANE for a special show with HUNGRY KIDS OF HUNGARY on Friday December 11. Tickets on sale NOW from littlebirdy.oztix.com.au or phonecharge 1300 762 545 and from the venue Ph: 3824 4444.

‘CONFETTI’ has just been officially certified GOLD making this the third consecutive album for the band to reach gold sales status. Upon its release ‘CONFETTI’ was the #1 highest selling Australian album and debuted at #6 on the ARIA charts staying in the top end of the charts for weeks.

Self produced by LITTLE BIRDY,’CONFETTI’ has also received two nominations for the 2009 ARIA Awards. The album has been nominated in the BEST ADULT CONTEMPORARY ALBUM category and ENGINEER OF THE YEAR for Steve Schram.
