When it comes to dynamic, cocksure indie rock with plenty of pop sensibility, catchy singalong choruses, and Scottish swagger, no band can compare to Glaswegian outfit The Fratellis, who first endeared fans with 2006’s Chelsea Dagger and have now announced their Australian return.
Following a brief hiatus after touring their 2008 sophomore album, Here We Stand, a rested and rejuvenated Fratellis returned in 2013 with a new album to share with their notoriously rabid fans. Titled We Need Medicine, it’s the band’s bluesiest and most smashing effort to date.
The Fratellis will kick off their 2014 Australian tour on Thursday, 3rd April at The Tivoli in Brisbane, before cruising down to the Prince of Wales in Melbourne the next evening and finishing up in Sydney at The Metro for a licensed all ages gig on Sunday, 6th April. See below for details.
