New Arrested Development Episodes To Hit Netflix In May

How good is this! It has now been confirmed that Arrested Development will return for at least 14 more episodes, the first of which is to air on Netflix this coming May.

Dean Lorey, writer for the series, confirmed almost 12 months ago that the original cast would be returning for a full new season as well as a feature-length film. After that, it all went a bit quiet until now. CNET has reported that the very much-loved program experienced massive amount of support on the Internet after it was canned by the network in 2006. Execs saw the writing on the wall, as well as the cult-like following that has since emerged and locked in the deal.

According to Mitchell Hurwitz, the show’s creator, the 14 episodes will serve as a ‘first act’, eventually leading up to a feature-length film, which is totally freakin’ awesome. Lead actor Jason Bateman has elaborated on that, commenting that the new episodes shouldn’t be seen as ‘season 4’ but as stand-alone episodes, each serving their own purpose. Each episode will go for a different length and revolve around different characters.

Now that I’m done with this article, I’m going to watch me some AD.
