The New Pollution: # 001 – Kakkmaddafakka

Written by Timothy Neville on January 6, 2012

There aren’t many bands that can pull off wearing shorts in their music videos. Kakkmaddafakka are no exception.

That being said, Kakkmaddafakka (‘Party Animals’ in Norwegian) are a trendy little band of classically trained musicians from Norway. Their high-energy mix of indie rock guitars and endearing pop lyrics will have you moving your feet faster than if you said the name of this band too loudly in the presence of the wrong person. Their single Restless is so catchy, it was included on the soundtrack for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 (albeit on the patched update).

It’s taken from their latest album Hest (which freetranslation.com is telling me translates to ‘Horse’) which came out in February last year. I’d highly recommend them if you’re a fan of bands like Phoenix, OK Go and Two Door Cinema Club.

Break…
