As we gear up for Purple Sneakers NYE House Party we’re getting super excited about the arrival of LA’s most notorious hipster, Franki Chan who is one of the leaders of the indie DJ movement in the USA.
Responsible also for blog, label and events company iheartcomix, and for signing acts like Toxic Avenger, Matt & Kim, Totally Michael, Heartsrevolution and others, Franki Chan can be considered something of an indie mogul.
When not making hipster culture happen you can also expect to find this man travelling the world over playing alongside names like MSTRKRFT, Justice, Spank Rock, Switch, Boys Noize, Lady Sovereign, Diplo, Acid Girls, The Presets, Para One, Simian Mobile Disco, A-Trak, Crystal Castles, Peaches, Radioclit…. pretty much every hot act on the face of the globe!
Oh yeah, in case that wasn’t enough he is also a rad illustrator and designed the artwork you see above.
