PREMIERE: Batz Brim With Confidence On Stomping New Single Darlin’

Melbourne post-punk thrashers Batz have burst into 2017 with an almighty swagger, today strutting out brand new foot stomper of a single Darlin’ alongside news of their very first headline tour.

Brimming with confidence, Darlin’ is a big, unabashed middle finger to anyone who might dare to undermine or belittle you. An F-U to the haters, if you will.

Explains frontwoman Christina Aubury: “The song is basically about any given situation where another person might think they’re the one with the upper hand and therefore begin to undermine you. Darlin’ is pretty much about making them realise that you’ve seen through the cockiness and that you are in fact stronger, smarter and overall more powerful than they gave you credit for”.

Coming on the heels of Batz’s debut EP Night Terrors, released in late 2016, this new jam solidifies the quintet’s dedication to creating music “for those who love the after hours”. Also like the debut EP, Darlin’ was mixed and mastered by Alex Markwell of The Delta Riggs.

Born out of the Melbourne underground music scene, Batz have cultivated quite a reputation for their live shows which you’ll be able to experience first-hand when the band take their Darlin’ tour across the East-Coast of Australia this February.
