PREMIERE: Billy Fox Serves Up More Soulful Electronica With New Single ‘Taste’

Sydney-based artist Billy Fox has a knack for melding soulful vocals with layered, seamless production in a way that’s both sonically interesting and seductive. So, it’s only appropriate that his latest single ‘Taste’ hits you in both the head and the feels.

“Taste is really about only realising how much you needed something when it is gone,” explains Fox. “Taking things for granted is such an easy trap to fall into, so we need to be aware of the important parts of our lives and treat them with care.”

The track was crafted entirely, from writing to production, in Fox’s home studio, with mixing done by Chris Collins (Middle Kids, Gang of Youths) and mastering by Steve Smart (Flume, Empire of the Sun).

“I’m quite enjoying what I’ve been creating lately in the studio,” Fox tells Music Feeds. “I have been working on a whole range of projects producing for other artists in a range of styles, so I was stoked to get back to what I feel is the heart of Billy Fox – some lush soul electronica which is really fun to not only create but to perform live too. I look forward to getting ‘Taste’ out there to the people and to tour it live.”

Billy Fox will be doing just that very soon, as he’s launching the track in Sydney this Friday 30th June, before embarking on a five-show East Coast tour performing in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Sydney and Melbourne. Catch tour dates and details below.
