PREMIERE: The Sand Dollars Flirt With Adulthood On New EP ‘I Like The Look Of Your Sweater, Can I Have Your Number?’

Melbourne outfit The Sand Dollars have been mainstays on the Australian live music scene for some time now and they’re about to take things up a notch with the unveiling of their debut EP, I Like The Look Of Your Sweater, Can I Have Your Number?, premiering here today.

Apart from having a mouthful of a title, the EP demonstrates the Melboure lads’ cross-genre proficiency as they flirt between Tarantino-esque western riffs to jazzy horn solos to soul-meets R’n’B production styles, all in the pursuit of exploring the trials and tribulations of growing up.

Explains singer and guitarist Michael Baini: “We started out with the simple idea of making an EP that truly reflected our live energy and rawness, but what we ended up with was a narrative of 5 songs that reveal the pleasures, anxieties and dreams of aimless young manhood.”

I Like The Look Of Your Sweater, Can I Have Your Number? will be available Friday 21st July, but you can stream it right here, right now!
