Written by Mike Solo on January 31, 2013

UK electronic-rockers 65daysofstatic have released their seminal 2004 debut The Fall of Math in Australia for the first time.

To celebrate the band’s recent Australian tour with sleepmakeswaves, the release comes as a deluxe edition featuring a plethora of rarities and unreleased material, including the hidden gems The Major Cities of The World Are Being Destroyed One By One By The Monsters and A.O.D. – the latter of which featured in their live sets during the tour.

65daysofstatic have earned a massive cult following worldwide during a career that has spanned nearly a dozen years and 5 studio albums. The band have influenced a generation of experimental groups with their innovative hybrid of electronica, post-rock, dance and prog, and exposed the concept of unique instrumental rock to hundreds of thousands of people whilst supporting The Cure on their world tour of 2007-09.

Originally released by UK label Monotreme Records in 2004, The Fall of Math features their signature track retreat! retreat! along with classic tracks such as Hole and This Cat Is a Landmine.

The band is currently working on new material for their sixth studio album, due out in late 2013.

The Fall of Math is out now through Bird’s Robe Records
