Soundwave 2015: Bands For Fans Of Other Bands

PUNK — The Bennies

For Fans Of: Millencolin, All Time Low

One of this year’s many homegrown inclusions on the Soundwave 2015 bill, Melbourne brats The Bennies craft witty, memorable punk songs and deliver them with balls-out attitude.

After spending the last three years touring relentlessly at home and abroad, notching up over 300 shows across Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, the foursome have fast garnered a reputation as one of the country’s most exciting and hard-working acts.

The self-proclaimed purveyors of ‘Psychedelic Reggae Ska Doom Metal Punk Rock From Hell’ unleashed their latest EP, Heavy Disco, late last year, and you can bet your sneaky train beverages they’ll be performing some of the new material live when they take over Soundwave’s Stage 3 at 1pm on Faith No More day.

And, proving there’s no rest for the wicked, The Bennies won’t be wasting any time after Soundwave, with a national tour already planned for March.
