Win Band of Horses Tickets By Creating Your Dream Setlist

Seattle rockers Band of Horses have been blasting their feel-good tunes our way since they first formed in 2004. They first came into the spotlight of the musical world when they released their debut album Everything all the Time in 2006, which became one of sub-pops best releases of the year, taking the indie world by storm. However, like most things held dear my the underground indie scene, Band of Horses exploded onto the mainstream market without changing their sound when they released their 2010 album Infinite Arms, peaking at 7 on America’s Billboard Charts.

It was after this release and after several lineup changes that it was clear that they had truly come into their own. Recently releasing their fourth album Mirage Rock with lead single Knock Knock, fans and critics alike were united in their understanding of how amazing the latest instalment truly was.

Luckily for us, the Seattle fellas are heading Down Under this January for the 2013 instalment of the Big Day Out festival, playing two intimate sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne for you lucky, lucky kids. If you haven’t secured tickets yet you have two options:

Option 1: Jump onto www.bigdayout.com and buy some tickets for you and your mates, to ensure that your January is one to remember.

Option 2: Win the Music Feeds’ Band of Horses Competition to score a free double pass to the Sydney and Melbourne shows.

So how do you win the competition? Brilliant question! All you have to do is create your dream Band of Horses setlist, consisting of any songs that they have ever written, and maybe even a cover that you’d like to see them do, and send it into giveaways@musicfeeds.com.au with your name and address before November 23rd.

After the comp closes the Band of Horses fans at Music Feeds will judge them all, picking the most creative for each capital city, and you and your best mate could be rocking out the Band of Horses in January, and who knows – they might even play your setlist? To kick things off, I’ve put together what I reckon would make for a killer night.
