10 Aussies Named On Massive Lollapalooza 2014 Lineup

The full line-up for Lollapalooza‘s 10th anniversary event has just dropped with a total of ten Australian artists making the cut for Chicago’s favourite festival. Homegrown acts waving the national flag at this year’s festival include Cut Copy, John Butler Trio, Flume, Jagwar Ma and Vance Joy.

The rest of the Aussie contingent is made up of The Temper Trap, Iggy Azalea, Courtney Barnett, Betty Who and Anna Lunoe. As it was speculated last week, they’ll join headlining acts Eminem, Skrillex, Kings of Leon and Arctic Monkeys.

Outkast are also continuing their historic headlining run of festivals this season, having already topped the bills of the Governors Ball and Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival. This year’s Lollapalooza marks the festival’s 10-year anniversary in Chicago’s lakefront Grant Park. Three-day tickets for the festival sold out within an hour of going on sale.

“Every year you’re shooting to have just an incredible bill that people will look at and say, ‘I’m there,'” Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell said. “The music is going to entertain them and do wonders for their heart and so is the city.”

The lineup also includes recent Grammy darling Lorde, whose hit Royals became a smash in the US winning won song of the year and best pop solo performance at this year’s Grammy Awards. “She’s got a love affair going with her audience,” Farrell said. “They scream and howl for her.”

Lollapalooza 2014 will take place across eight stages from August 1st-3rd. The full lineup is below.
