10 Unreleased Jimi Hendrix Songs To Be Released Next Year

A new posthumous Jimi Hendrix album has been announced, featuring 10 previously unreleased tracks.

Both Sides of the Sky will feature 13 songs that were released between 1968 to 1970. The tracklist is still unknown, however, Pitchfork reports that it will feature a cover of Joni Mitchell’s ‘Woodstock’.

It will also feature collaborations with Stephen Stills, Lonnie Youngblood and Jonny Winter plus Billy Cox and Buddy Miles from his Band of Gypsys lineup.

The album was reportedly engineered by Hendrix’s engineers Eddie Kramer and John McDermott as well as his sister Janie Hendrix.

It’s the final part of a trilogy of albums featuring unreleased Hendrix music. It follows on from 2010’s Valleys of Neptune and 2013’s People, Hell and Angels.

Both Sides of the Sky is due to be released on 9th March 2018.
