30+ People Arrested At Guns N’ Roses New Jersey Concert

Punters at Guns N’ Roses‘ big reunion tour stop in New Jersey on Saturday night must have been sporting something of an – ahem – appetite for destruction, because dozens of them ended up getting arrested for a range of different crimes.

Now I know what you’re thinking, but it was nothing even close to a replay of what went down in St. Louis back in ’91.

There was no Rocket Queen Riot (but definitely a few rocket queens IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Prostitutes, I’m talking about prostitutes), just a bunch of dickheads getting up to no good (and the aforementioned prostitutes).

According to Blabbermouth, New Jersey State Police are reporting that over 30 people were arrested at the event.

Among them, a 30-year-old woman was collared mid-concert and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.

Then, there was:

* 11 solicitation arrests (—> prozzies)

* 9 disorderly conduct arrests

* 1 arrest for “open lewdness”

* 1 resisting arrest charge

* 2 arrests for simple assault

* 1 charge of harassment

* 3 criminal trespassing arrests, and

* 1 arrest for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana

Sounds like Gunners fans in Jersey should have taken a leaf out of Splendour In The Grass punters’ book.

SITG-goers have just had their praises sung by the boys in blue for upstanding behaviour during this year’s festival.

Let’s see how Australia’s GNR massive measure up when the iconic rockers bring their reunion tour Down Under (which according to rumours, could be happening in January of next year).
