84 Drug Arrests Made At Weekend Dance Festival

Police busted some people for doing drugs at a rave over the weekend, simultaneously establishing that the Pope is indeed Catholic… Seriously, though, a staggering 84 people were busted for mainly drug-related offenses at dance music festival IQON in western Sydney on Saturday.

IQON, which took place for the first time at the Sydney International Dragway at Eastern Creek, was put on by organisers Q-dance and was headlined by Dutch dance heavyweights Headhunterz and Noisecontrollers. The festival saw 78 charges laid for possessing prohibited drugs, 4 charges for supply and 1 cannabis caution. Most of them were detected by sniffer dogs, proving that regardless of your other 99 problems a bitch probably tops the list at festivals.

Blacktown Local Area Commander Superintendent Mark Wright said the overall crowd at the single-stage festival was well behaved, despite the numbers arrested and charged, leading us to believe that most of those picked up by the po-po were too stoned to cause any trouble.
