A$AP Rocky (Finally) Announces Album Release Date + Artwork

Having reneged on his original release date, A$AP Rocky has once and for all put an arrival date on his massively anticipated full-length album. It’s looking like fans will have the record in their hands as soon as first thing next year, and today they can check out the album art too.

Originally, Rocky had announced that Long.Live.A$AP would be hitting the shelves this past Halloween, but according to Pop Crush, the brakes had to be pumped after running into a spot of legal trouble revolving around the samples used on the record. As Rocky explained: “I refuse to take anything off, it’s complete. Everything is being mastered and cleared right now. It’s just so hard to get things cleared because you gotta find people to clear samples.”

Clearly in no rush to fail, Rocky remains positive that the album will be well-received: “I really feel good about this, I really feel deeply good about this, because I put my all into it, and it’s a different aspect of me… It’s just showing my capabilities and how much of an artist I really am — not just a rapper.”

Fans will be able to get their mitts on a copy of the album January 15th, 2013. If the long wait hasn’t geed you up enough, well the above album art surely will.
