After The Burial Guitarist Justin Lowe Found Dead, Aged 32

Tragic news has emerged from US today with reports that After The Burial guitarist Justin Lowe has been found dead, a week after he went missing. He was 32 years old.

Reports the New Richmond News, St. Croix County Chief Deputy Scott Knudson confirmed police had identified the body found as that of 32-year-old Justin A. Lowe of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota. The body was discovered by a hiker early Tuesday beneath a bridge.

Lowe had been reported missing on July 18th and according to Knudson the cause of his death was consistent with a fall, and foul play was not suspected.

A few weeks ago Lowe announced his departure from After The Burial via a disturbing, disjointed and conspiracy-filled manifesto in which he tried to demonstrate that he was part of a large set-up. The letter, since-deleted, laid out a random series of conspiracy theories around drugs, death and sabotage.

The band later explained that Lowe had “fallen into a very broken state of mind” and that “right now he needs more than ever to be shown that the world is not against him.”

Lowe was an original member of After the Burial, which formed in 2004. Their latest album was 2013’s Wolves Within.

They have yet to make a statement on this tragic news. Our thoughts and support are with Justin Lowe’s family and the band at this very difficult time.
