Aftermath Announce ‘Their Legacy, Your Burden’ EP Plus Sydney Launch

With so many bands in the genre these days are happy to settle for a ‘middle of the road’ sound in an attempt to be just like their favourite band in every way, shape and form, it’s rare that we see bands comfortable with pushing the envelope. Sydney’s Aftermath have proven that they are willing to test the limits, taking the boundaries of Metalcore and pushing them as far as it will go.

These mosh-driven mad dogs have announced the impending release of their second EP Their Legacy, Your Burden. Recorded at Electric Sun studios right here in Sydney and mastered at Crystal Studio’s in Melbourne, the EP is 100% fucking metal. Featuring guest vocals from other local legends Harry Stephens of Bridges and Dave Naylor of Shinto Katana, it is set to hit shelves and iPods around the country on July 6.

Already the band has secured corporate sponsorship, which NEVER happens before you drop a full length. However, Monster Energy Drink and Aussie skateboard powerhouse Deck Up had seen enough to hook up the lads who have promised regular releases and a live show that will simply beat the fuck out of you in a way that you’ll totally love.

They’ve had plenty of time and experience to master their craft, having shared stages with Parkway Drive, The Red Shore, Deez Nuts and The Amity Affliction. Metalheads and mosh warriors alike will have the pleasure of witnessing Aftermath on stage at their hometown EP launch at Sydney’s Burdekin on July 13.
