With the announcement of the lineup for Future Music Festival 2014, EDM fans nationwide are surely air-DJing away to their favourite Deadmau5, Hardwell, and Eric Prydz tunes. Now with the help of Budweiser and the Australian Independent Music Awards, those superstar DJ fantasies can become a reality.
The two have teamed up to launch a national search for Australia’s next top producer/DJ. Entries are open to anyone looking to participate, whether you’re a bedroom house producer or an underground star DJ, with a cult following, this is an incredible opportunity and would be a boost to any EDM career.
The winner will receive one of the biggest prize packages in Australian electronic music, which will include embarking on an international tour to the United Sates to play at the legendary Marquee Las Vegas and Marquee New York, as well as a set at a NYC industry party. Oh, and all flights and accommodation are included. You’ll also play exclusive homecoming gigs at some of Australia’s hottest clubs, including Marquee Sydney, with opportunities for exposure through interviews and profile features.
The prizes keep on coming, with the panel-selected winner also receiving the revolutionary Pioneer DDJ-SX 4-channel Serato DJ controller, complete with professional software, as well as your mixes featured on selected music streaming sites and ongoing support from the AIMAs and Budweiser, including potential festival appearances, international DJ sets, sponsorship opportunities and “introductions to record labels and industry executives.”
This is a life-changing opportunity for an undiscovered star to ascend to the next level of their career. Budweiser and AIMAs organiser MusicOz want unsigned and independent EDM artists to submit their best tracks for a chance at this incredible prize package.
If you’re Australian with a dream of making it in the international electronic dance music scene and the skills and commitment to back it up, entries are now open at Budweiser Made For Music.
Submissions close at midnight on Wednesday, 30th September 2013, with the winner announced at the AIMA ceremony at the New Event Centre at The Star Casino in Sydney on Thursday, 7th November 2013.
