Footage has emerged of Alice Cooper and his band performing a cover version of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way at the 2012 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee this weekend.
Cooper has been a longtime fan of Gaga – Blabbermouth reported in a September 2011 interview that Cooper believes Lady Gaga reminds him of himself.
“[She] is the female Alice Cooper”, he said. “She totally gets it. She created a character named Lady Gaga and wrote songs for Lady Gaga, just as I write songs for Alice. But when you meet her offstage, she’s nothing like that person…and neither am I.”
The performance caps off an eventful 24 hours in Gagaland – footage has also emerged of her getting hit in the head by a stage prop during a recent show in New Zealand. Gaga will be bringing her arena tour to Australia later this month.
