With their return to US soil fast approaching, Alpine have announced one cheeky farewell performance going down at Melbourne’s Hi Fi Bar. This will be the last chance for fans to bid adieu to the outfit who are well on track to taking the States by storm.
The band will be touring across the star-spangled nation with Crystal Fighters in support of the US release of A Is For Alpine, which will be available there this Tuesday, 21st May. This won’t be the first time America has sampled the goods of Alpine. The gang were there just earlier this year performing in L.A, New York and SXSW, pricking up ears along the way.
It can be said that Alpine have already well and truly conquered their home land. A Is For Alpine dominated iTunes, scoring no.1 on the Australian chart as well as gaining the mantel of iTunes Alternative Album of The Year. That was coupled with a tip of the hat from Age EG in the form of their Album Of The Year accolade.
This will be the first headlining show from the band since their sold out stint at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne last September. Since then they’ve wrecked havoc on the Groovin The Moo circuit and proved a hard act to follow as they supported The Temper Trap – so demand is only getting higher.
