Alter Bridge, Living Colour Sidewaves Announced

Written by Greg Moskovitch on January 17, 2014

Big news for rock fans has just come via the Sidewaves vine, with the announcement that hard rock monsters Alter Bridge and Living Colour will be taking to stages together at the The Hi-Fi in Sydney and The Forum in Melbourne this February, to coincide with their Soundwave 2014 dates.

Since their inception in 2004, Alter Bridge have been garnering praise for their heavy sound, envied musicianship, and their ability to consistently generate gripping and infectious rock tunes. They most recently cemented that reputation with their highly-acclaimed work on 2013’s Fortress.

Joining them will be a group of stereotype-defying, barrier-crossing musicians who go by the name of Living Colour and turned heads in the ’90s as one of the first prominent all-African American heavy metal groups, amassing legions of fans, critical praise, and even a Grammy Award.

This is one show that fans of all things heavy are not going to want to miss. The Living Colour-Alter Bridge Sidewave tour kicks off on Tuesday, 25th February with a show at The Hi-Fi, Sydney, before a show at The Forum the following night. Tickets hit sale 9:00am Thursday, 23rd January.
