While most of us of slept soundly last night, knowing Friday was just around the corner, magic was happening within the walls of Melbourne’s The Toff In Town, with three virtuoso musicians taking to the stage during a very special performance.

During his sold-out solo gig at the Toff last night, Jherek Bischoff was joined onstage by surprise guests Missy Higgins and Amanda Palmer – with whom he’s currently touring Australia – for several songs, including a beautiful cover of Paul Kelly’s track Before Too Long.

Yeah, we knew no-one would believe us, which is why we have the whole thing on camera thanks to Music Feeds photographer Carbie Warbie. In the below footage all three musicians come together in the most perfect way, with the performance resonating with energy once the vocals kick in.

Higgins seems to be fully aware of how special the moment was, and has taken to Twitter numerous times since last night to express how grateful she is. Last time Bischoff was in town, earlier this year, Higgins didn’t even know who he was. Now, some months later, here she is performing with him.

Check out the trio’s electrifying rendition of Before Too Long below, as well as some snaps from the night, and head over to Carbie Warbie’s Vimeo channel for more footage from the evening.
