Animal Collective Offer Stream Of New Album

Baltimore indie-electro stars Animal Collective are streaming their new album Centipede Hz for fans to check out ahead of its official release on September 3.

The stream comes after they recently released the video for their latest single Today Supernatural, which you can check out below.

The band previously told NME that with this album – which is their tenth release and the follow-up to 2010’s “visual album” ODDSAC – they had “gone back to their roots” and away from the overload of samples on their recent releases.

“We all moved back to Baltimore, the last few records we’ve written apart and by sending each other stuff,” band member Brian Weitz said.

“This time we all wanted to write in the same room together. We went back to our roots and we got a little practice space in this barn on Josh’s [Dibb – fellow band member] mum’s property and it was like being a garage band again.”
