Annandale Owners Hit Out At Unsupportive Council

In the wake of news that the Annandale Hotel would be handed over to receivers, co-owner Matt Rule has spoken out against the local council, slamming them as “C#*ts” on account of strict terms that were slowly suffocating the venue.

As you can see in the Facebook post below, Rule is pissed off, and for good reason. It seems as though Leichhardt council have been needlessly cruel towards the hotel, resulting in “years of lost revenue” and a lengthy legal procedure costing “200k in legal fees”.

Rule finishes the statement by putting it to the bank to front the brothers 500K and the long-sought-after late licence.

The new handlers are adamant that live music will continue, though it appears that the last locked-in gig will be the final Sydney show from The Bronx.
