Aqua Australian Tour 2012 – More Shows Added

Written by Alex Langlands on January 16, 2012

Aqua have announced a run of new shows after selling out their Sydney and Melbourne shows. The new shows will be on the 13th March in Melbourne at the Palace, and 17th March in Sydney at the HiFi.

Feeling a little bit nostalgic? Missing the 90s a little too much? Well in that case, get ready to break out those mesh tops, peroxide the tips of your hair, and whip out those camouflage pants, because Aqua have got you covered. Judging by the reception they got when they announced their first string of tours which mostly sold out, it seemed a good idea to announce another set.

With songs like Barbie Girl, Doctor Jones and Lollypop (Candyman), sweet-toothed Australian pop fans embraced AQUA making this country one of the most successful markets for the group. Featuring the original line-up of vocalists Lene Nystrøm and René Dif, keyboard player Søren Rasted and Claus Norreen on guitar, AQUA are set to rekindle their Australian love affair by bringing the pure pop delight they are famous for and their brand new album Megalomania to life right across the country.

If you’re as ready to get down with Aqua and a Barbie Girl, then get ready to go buy tickets, because this will be the last concerts from these party animals you’ll be seeing in a while.
