Arcade Fire Announce New Single ‘Abraham’s Daughter’ For ‘The Hunger Games’ Soundtrack

The latest fantasy film, The Hunger Games, will feature new music from Arcade Fire. The track, Abraham’s Daughter, was recorded last week and will feature on the films soundtrack, The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond.

Win Butler and Regine Chassagne also wrote and recorded the track, Horn of Plenty, which will actually feature in the film itself, scheduled for release March 23 in the UK.

Arcade Fire join Taylor Swift, The Decemberists, Kid Cudi and The Low Anthemn on the compilation.

The Hunger Games is based on an apocalyptic American future, where representatives from twelve districts fight to the death on live television. It stars Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Burns.
