They’re arguably the biggest indie band in the world right now and Arcade Fire are showing no signs of slowing down, revealing a snippet of a new song, Awful Sound, which from what we can tell is anything but living up to its name.
The Canadian 7-piece tweeted the 30-second excerpt from the track, accompanied by a video of footage from the recording studio and the streets of Haiti, where forthcoming album Reflektor was made. It follows last month’s reveal of three other new tracks from the album, Here Comes The Night Time, We Exist and Normal Person, along with a star-studded accompanying video directed by Roman Coppola and featuring cameos from Ben Stiller, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, James Franco, Michael Cera, Aziz Ansari, Eric Wareheim and Rainn Wilson.
Reflektor, the fourth studio album from the group and follow-up to 2010’s The Suburbs, is scheduled for release in Australia on 29th October. Arcade Fire will be hitting Australia next January to headline the Big Day Out.
