Arcade Fire Recruit Debbie Harry For ‘Heart Of Glass’ Cover At Coachella

This year’s instalment of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has seen a stellar list of collaborations, cameos, and surprise appearances, with everyone from Beyonce to Justin Bieber getting in some stage time. Arcade Fire have continued the trend with the help of Debbie Harry.

Multi-instrumentalist and singer Régine Chassagne brought Harry on stage to perform Blondie‘s iconic 1978 new wave classic, Heart of Glass as well as Sprawl II from Arcade Fire’s most recent album, Reflektor. Each of the band’s four albums got a good airing during the band’s 17-song set.

As Music Feeds detailed earlier today, Pharrell Williams took the prize for the most onstage collaborations, with his set featuring appearances from the likes of Nelly, who performed the Neptunes-produced Hot In Herre, as well as Gwen Stefani, Puff Daddy, Snoop Dogg, and more.

Jay-Z made an appearance during Nas‘ set, pop queen Beyonce got on stage for a dance to conclude sister Solange‘s performance, Girl Talk‘s set saw appearances from Busta Rhymes and E-40, while Outkast‘s first performance in a decade was joined by Janelle Monae and Future.
