Arctic Monkeys Release New Track ‘2013’

Indie rock titans Arctic Monkeys have made the most of their studio time while recording their previous single Do I Wanna Know? as today they have released a B-side to the jam, a short but sweet ditty know as 2013.

Much like its A-side counterpart, 2013 sees the beat and melody follow a sleazy riff that doesn’t quit for the whole two and a half minutes. Although 2013 didn’t make the cut for Arctic Monkey’s forthcoming full-length AM, we have already heard first single R U Mine? and a live version of Mad Sounds, as well as Do I Wanna Know?, which are all set to feature on the LP.

AM is shaping up to be quite the loaded release. It’s been revealed that Arctic Monkeys hit up Josh Homme and former member of The Coral, Bill Ryder-Jones to contribute to the release. Homme recently spoke of their sessions together in glowing terms, describing the record as a “modern, dancefloor sexy” affair.

The band also recently revealed the album artwork for AM, which you can see below.
