UPDATE 23/04/14: The full Splendour In The Grass 2014 lineup has been announced! Full details here.

Following lauded performances at Future Music Festival and Field Day, it appears 21-year-old NSW producer Max Armata, known in the Aussie dance music world as Yahtzel, is set to conquer Splendour In The Grass 2014 next. The news comes following a leak found in Yahtzel’s official bio.

Before taking on the Splendour crowds, Yahtzel is set to top the bill at the UNSW Roundhouse’s sold-out Toga Party event. In announcing his helmsmanship, the Roundhouse quoted from Yahtzel’s official artist bio as found on the website of his management company, Audiopaxx.

According to the bio, in addition to a forthcoming EP release, Yahtzel is bound for Splendour. “With an upcoming studio EP in the works and a spot at famed festival Splendour in the Grass on the horizon, Yahtzel continues to prove why he is one of 2014’s artists to watch,” write Audiopaxx.

Audiopaxx confirmed the 21-year-old talent’s place on the Splendour lineup to Music Feeds, making Yahtzel the first name confirmed for the 2014 bill, amid high speculation surrounding names such as London Grammar, Sky Ferreira, Bombay Bicycle Club, and even the newly reformed Outkast.

Splendour In The Grass 2014 takes place at the North Byron Parklands in Byron Bay this Friday, 25th, Saturday 26th, and Sunday 27th July. The lineup rumour mill is running hot with the recent Fuji Rock and SXSW party lineup announcements, as well as tour news from Foster The People.
